The Company was born from a university project put together by Xavier Laplace at ETS (École de technologies supérieures). Following the ever-growing interest raised by the project, it quickly became a career plan.

Green roofs have many benefits. In fact, they are defined as having only good sides to them. They prove to be the ideal solution to many problems such as the urban heat island effect, the abundant flow of stormwater and poor air quality of the city. In addition, Montreal, with its many flat roofs, is the perfect target for the implantation of green roofs.

All of these factors put together help define the primary goal of Les Toits Vertige : to make of Montreal’s rooftops a cluster of urban oasis, thus improving the quality of life for all, without causing harm to the urban ever growing development.
